The all-new Wondershare UniConverter even allows you to use an integrated or externally connected webcam to record yourself. This approach is entirely in practice and useful while preparing tutorials or documentaries where you want to use your body language and facial expressions when explaining something. Here is how you can use Wondershare UniConverter to record with a webcam of your laptop or desktop computer:
Note: A Windows 10 computer is used here for illustration.
Right-click Start, go to Device Manager, expand the Cameras tree on the Device Manager snap-in, right-click Integrated Webcam (or any other webcam that your PC may have, or you want to use). Click Update Driver from the context menu, and click Search automatically for updated driver software on the How do you want to search for drivers box. Follow the on-screen instructions from there to let Windows search for and install the most recent version of the webcam driver on your computer.
Launch Wondershare UniConverter, select Screen Recorder from the left pane of the interface, click the small down-facing arrow next to the Camera icon from the top-left area of the center panel and click Webcam to launch Webcam Recorder.
Pick your preferred Webcam, microphone, capturing resolution, and framerate from the Select a webcam, Microphone, Resolution, and Frame Rate drop-down lists, respectively.
Click REC to start recording and click the Stop button when you wish to stop capturing. Next, close the Webcam Recorder box, and from the right pane of the main interface, click Open from the right side of the recorded clip to get to the folder the captured video is saved to.
Note: optionally, you can import this footage back to Wondershare UniConverter for further edits and modifications.
